Facilities and equipment

This spacious beautiful old house is located in the beautiful scenery of Lake Syväjärvi, Miehikkälä. The main building, a former village school, has a 60-seat banqueting, meeting and dining hall, a well-equipped kitchen, toilets and washrooms suitable for wheelchair users and accommodation for 15 people. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator + fridge-freezer, an industrial dishwasher, an industrial oven and a standard electric stove. Dishes are available for 60 people. Two air-source heat pumps have been installed to increase comfort. The property includes a traditional courtyard sauna with its own private beach.

For any use

The venue is ideal for events, celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, family gatherings and family holidays. It is also suitable as a campsite for children and youth camps and as a meeting place for organisations, associations and companies. Linen is provided by the hirer. Linen hire is available as an alternative.

The site has a 1 km. long fitness track, which in winter serves as a surface ski slope, a sandy field with football pitches and a swimming beach with changing rooms and jetties. When snow conditions permit, the track provides access to a skiing track of about 15-23 km. There is a sand pitch (50m X 30 m) with football pitches in the courtyard.

In the same area there is also a good quality log cabin Saunapirtti, which can accommodate 11 people and the cabin is well-equipped.

Price and booking period

The price per night is 200 €. For bookings of 6-12 nights the price per day is €135. The booking starts at 14:00 on the day of arrival and ends at 12:00 on the day of departure.

The main building is closed from 1 November to 31 March.

Keys

Keys are available on site in a key box, and a PIN code is sent by email. The keys must be returned to the key box on departure.

Final cleaning

The cottage is cleaned by the tenant. The cleaning includes taking away rubbish, bottles and your own food or taking it to the waste disposal point. In addition, the floors must be vacuumed and wiped clean of visible dirt, dishes washed in the dishwasher and put away, and tables and surfaces wiped. The toilet must be cleaned (toilet and sink) and the sauna/laundry rooms cleaned (rubbish removed, floors washed). In addition, the beds will be made up and the outside courtyard and barbecue area will be cleaned. If the cleaning has to be done by the municipality, it will be charged at the price of the final cleaning.

However, if the final cleaning is purchased as a service, the cleaning of the cottage can be left to the cleaner. However, the final cleaning does not include washing dishes, putting away dishes and goods, furniture or taking out the rubbish. The customer must also take away empty bottles, cans and cutlery.
